The first pic is just looking down my street & the second is my driveway. Im running both cars to melt everything. I think alltogether, we got about 8 inches. But its just blowing & blowing all over the place.
I think it was about 6:00 tonight when I took these pics.

I agree with Holly...nothing like a walk down a snowy lane at night. The Hallmark commercial with the dad walking the snow covered trail with his lantern to read his daughter's card about those walks they used to take together always makes me cry as it reminds me of one walk our family took in deep snow to look at the village below one night not long before my dad died unexpectedly of a heart attack. A happier evening trek through snow was with my husband near the birth of our first son. It was so icy underneath the inches of snow I thought I might fall and deliver right then and there, but my husband kept me steady...still does. : )
Still less than 6" all this year where I live, near Philly, PA. Didn't even get real cold until after the new year. Did it work? Did I make snowbound readers mad enough to lob a mountain of snowballs all the way to Philadelphia? You all keep warm and safe!

Hey!! Its Valentine's Day and most people in the Midwest have a snow day. My yard and street look about the same James. Its pretty to look at BUT not pretty to shovel and drive in. Today is my birthday and I got my wish. Free day and my family home with me to celebrate. Hooray! If any of your readers that don't get snow want some; I am sure we can get together and ship them some. :)

Wow! I'm a San Diego, CA, girl, born and raised. The only place out of Southern CA I've lived is 8 months in Atlanta. I am just not snow-literate! It's beautiful!!!

Oh man ! Stop that James. You know we moved from up north and I miss that stuff. My husband does not miss it one bit but I sure do. Nothing like taking a late evening walk and looking at the snow glistening and watch the stars twinkle. I am so jealous! Throw a snowball for me but do me another favor, drive safely. The southerns down here do not know how to drive and panic at the first flake.

I am from the south, when a flake drops we get excited. I know that is beautiful, but I wouldn't like to live where I get tht much more than once a year :~)
Happy Valentine's Day, to all.
